Queen Bead started to play with the January Project on Friday and has decided that feathers are the way to go! Whether you add them discreeetly or go wild, they look fabulous!
Wire them down nice and tight, on the angle you want, going between the teeth of the comb rather than through the holes. Once they are secure, then add beads around the base to hide the wire. You may also need to trim the base of the feathers a litte once they are wired tightly. CLICK HERE to download your free pattern CLICK HERE to see hairslide options |

Theresa came and took the Sparkle Pendant class with Queen Bead to learn the basics of capturing Swarovski Rivoli's in Peyote stitch. She had a new top that needed a necklace to match and inspired by her lesson, she made this lovely piece using the techniques learnt in her class. Have a look also at the Jewel Bracelet class which uses similar techniques but with more embellishment. These elements can be used in many different ways. |

Ruth made this gorgeous necklace with a Hand Carved Jade Donut as a center piece. The donut was picked up from a street market in China by Queen Bead in her 2008 travels, and Ruth had been saving it for a special project. Ruth has been doing a lot of stitching recently, including Queen Bead's Spiral Rope Class, and when she spied our new metal balls, she was inspired! Ruth also used a little Peyote stitch near the back and made her own clasp. This necklace looks great on, and QB recently whipped it off Ruth's neck for a photo! |
