Repairs

We offer a professional and comprehensive restringing service for all forms of beaded jewellery and carry out restringing/repairs as part of our daily activities for our customers. Whether it is a complete restring of a strand of beads, shortening a necklace or adding a magnetic clasp, we can help. You can bring in a piece in need of repair for us to look at, send it in by courier or ring us for a quote.

All repair work is quoted with a labour charge, plus the cost of materials used for the repair. Usually the cost of materials is under $5, although this does depend on the nature of the repair.

For example:

Simple necklace restring  . . . . . .$16 total
   * 40 – 60 cm long, one strand, regular sized beads, 6mm and over
   * Strung on Softflex, crimped at ends with crimp covers

Attach a magnetic clasp . . . . . . $2.50 total
   * with no restring required

Pearlstringing . . . . . . . . . . . . . $34 total
   * Short single strand, fully knotted                            
   * 40 – 60 cm long, one strand, pearls 6mm and over
   * On silk thread, French Wire at each end, using existing clasp
   * $10 extra for pearls under 6mm

Restring a stretch bracelet . . . . $9 total

If you are sending a piece in on the courier, please make sure you enclose a note with your full contact details and details what you want done. Please note that there will be a return courier fee of $5.50 on top of the restringing costs.
