We really enjoyed our Tuesday evening classes. Lynn is the best! She is smart, funny and very professional. We already miss the classes!

Bead Basics

Our classes are at the heart of our business and we are passionate about teaching you how to use the wonderful array of beads and findings you will find at The Bead Hold. We pride ourselves on our highly trained staff and well run classes which make beading accessible to all ages and skill levels. Tea and biscuits are always on hand! Class tables are well lit with low hanging flourescent lights that make it so easy to see, especially at night.

Classes run week nights, week days and weekends to make it easier for you to find a time that suits. You can book into the class as an individual, or in a small group. Classes are a great way of meeting like minded people and forming new friendships. For our Adult Classes, we have a maximum of 7 participants in each class which allows for a lot of individual attention from the instructor. Children and young teenagers are not able to join adult classes.

If you have a group of 4 or more, we are happy to run a class for just yourself and your friends. Or, if you want a fun night out and a less structured introduction to beading, a Girl's Night Out is a great way to go. Girl's Nights are perfect for a group of friends, work colleagues, birthday celebrations or hen's nights. You are able to bring food and drinks, and make whatever you like within your skill level.

We run Childrens' Classes in the holidays, and Childrens' Birthday Parties all year around.

All classes, parties and Girl's Nights are conducted in our studio, a lovely separate room from the shop with a big picture window looking into the shop and walls filled with inspirational beaded pieces. On week nights, when the shop is closed, we often run two classes at a time, one in the studio and one in the parlour. This creates a great atmosphere, and a chance to see a different style of beading in action.

For those who cannot make classes or prefer one on one tuition, Private Tuition is available for both individuals and small groups.

All classes must be paid for in advance to hold the booking. This payment is non-refundable if you do not show up to the class. If you ring in advance (at least a day) to let us know you can no longer come we are happy to move you to the next available class with no penalty.

Once you have paid for your class in full you will receive a reminder and a materials list. You are welcome to bring beads from home for your class and the shop is always open a half hour before the class for you to choose the things you need. All class participants receive a 10% discount on the day of their class on beads and findings items purchased (whether they are for the class or not). If you are buying class materials in advance, let us know and we will give you the class discount on the class items. You will also recieve the 10% discount for what you buy on the day.

If you require glasses for close up work, please bring them with you to the class.

Hope to see you soon :)
